Now seems a perfect part;

Yet each one holds summer’s secret

I was at the Scottsdale Public Library – Civic Center yesterday afternoon and noticed the most amazing tree full of the most gorgeous blossoms.  I have no idea what kind of tree it is, but the flowers are just stunning.  I only had my 85mm with me, so I found some low blossoms and took some pictures.  The stamen of this one reminded me of a ballerina en pointe.

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.  ~ Eleonora Duse

I was clicking through archives from last fall and found some shots I took at the Monarch exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden.  It was a gorgeous day and the butterflies were cooperative.  Monarchs are notoriously anti-social, as butterflies go.  But this one sat still for her portrait. Oh, his portrait…as the case may be.
