Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. ~ Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke
I love the dreamy quality and the tones in this photo, beautiful!
I think this is such a pretty shot – the round, yellow flowers and the soft background!
This is beautiful..and I’ve never seen a plant/flower like this before! All of your macros are just stunning!!
Thanks, Marci. It’s actually a flowering tree next to our house. I’m sure it’s not native to the Sonoran desert, but seems to thrive. These little yellow puff balls pop each spring. I sneeze between shots. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, and the comment. Have a great weekend.
Great photo! I love the flowers. They look like little pom poms.
This is lovely! I scrolled through some of your other photos and they are equally stunning…especially that sunflower with the Helen Keller quotation. Beautiful.
Thank you so much, Janice. I really appreciate your kind words. Glad you like the photos and hope you’ll be back.
How pretty! Strange that they are called TEXAS acacia and I don’t think I’ve ever seen them here in TX 😉
We have a lot of things like that. Do you have Texas Mountain Laurel? It’s a flowering tree (sort of), and the flowers smell really strongly of grape Kool-Aid. Really amazing scent, but I think it’s poisonous. Then again, we have things from all over that wouldn’t grow natively in the desert. Hence, 9 months of allergy season. 🙂
totally beautiful…nice shot! Hope you can check out mine HERE. Thanks!
This photo is just beautiful. I love the softness of it.
I didn’t get to everyone’s comment individually, but want to thank all of you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts. I do appreciate it! Have a wonderful weekend.
The flowers look like pom pom. As for the ones on my blog, I don’t know what it is..
SO so pretty! I am not familiar with that flower…what a cutie!
Thanks too for all your happy spring wishes for me and my daughter on her birthday, very sweet! Glad you stopped by 😉
Wow, beautiful shot!
Ok. I’ve lived in TX for a few years and never saw anything come close to this flower on your photo. Your image is so pleasing to the eyes. Composition, DoF, & post-processing are right on the money. Outstanding job!
