Josephine Ford’s playhouse, given to her as a gift on her 7th birthday in 1930, cost $15,000 to build.  It was built to 2/3 scale and had running water and a functional icebox in the kitchen.  Josephine was the only granddaughter of Henry Ford, and the daughter of Edsel Ford. She died in 2005 at the age of 81.  Edsel Ford Estate – Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan
