  1. So beautiful! Is it a cactus? I’m down to a few zinnias flower-wise.

    • Melissa – I’m pretty sure it’s called a Peruvian Apple Cactus. The blossoms last less than 24 hours and they only bloom at night. In the morning, when the sun hits them, they wilt and die. This one was still in bloom this morning when I went passed. It’s such a pretty flower. Just wish it lasted longer. I hear your weather has not been the greatest. Talked to my niece yesterday and it was cold and windy in Rockford. Stay warm!!

  2. Lovely tones and framing. It’s amazing how gorgeous a cactus blossom can appear.

    • Thanks, Kala. They’re actually pretty stunning…considering what they’re attached to. 🙂 Many of them only last less than 24 hours, so I was in the right place at the right time for this one. Glad you liked it.
