We hope that, when the insects take over the world, they will remember with gratitude how we took them along on all our picnics. ~ Bill Vaughan
The first time I saw one of these insects was when I wen tot Mexico on a wonderful vacation with my hubby. My toes are almost warm looking at your photo. Thanks for the good and warming memories.
Hey, do you go by Melissa or Lisa? I read a comment on your blog and someone referred to you as Lisa. I actually took this pic in North Georgia on our vacation a couple weeks ago. I’m pretty sure it’s a grasshopper, but the legs seem too long. Hopefully my Arizona pics will keep you warm through the winter. 🙂 Actually going to get chilly here this week: 78 degrees!! Woo Hoo!!!
I grew up as a Lisa, but changed to Melissa, my legal name, in college when I started writing and had a crush on someone who told me three syllables were better than two . Then I met my hubby who has two sisters-in-law named Lisa…and then my brother married another Lisa and I embraced me as a Melissa.

Great shot Lisa. And I love that quote!
