I leave Monday for a quick trip to Northern Michigan. I know there won’t be any flowers, but these hydrangeas from my mom’s backyard always made me think of home. So excited to be heading north!!

Yes, of course you’ll find relief from your allergies if you move to Arizona. But then you’ll discover you’re allergic to everything that grows in the desert…nine months a year. It’s allergy season. Pass the tissues!


Eye catching in a most coy, but provocative, peek-a-boo sort of way.  The other blossoms around it were mostly holding their petals tightly to themselves.  But in the moment I found this one, it had unwrapped itself, almost as if it knew I would find the moment completely irresistable.
